Memphis Glove Company, the original sales division of Shelby Group, MCR's parent corporation, was founded in 1974 to distribute industrial
work gloves to safety distributors in the United States. This company's excellent service, quality and competitive pricing skyrocketed it
to become an industry leader in its first 10 years. Memphis Glove was a pioneer in developing top quality imported leather gloves and was
the first in the industry to use telemarketing as an efficient sales tool. Memphis Glove offered one of the widest selections of hand
protection in the industry and their service and quality were second to none.

Our Value Proposition Our value proposition is to consistently perform as the market leader in operational excellence, delivering to our customers the best total cost solution, supported by exceptional resources, tools, product expertise, and innovation. River City Protective Wear was formed in 1981 as an affiliate of Shelby to market and distribute protective clothing for industrial use. River City utilized the marketing system and philosophies as well as customer base of Memphis Glove to become a leader in its industry. River City marketed a broad line of protective garments to protect workers. Crews Incorporated was formed in 1984 to market and distribute protective eyewear for industrial use. Again leveraging its affiliation to Memphis Glove's customer base and marketing philosophy, Crews grew into the world's largest producer of protective eyewear. Shelby Specialty Gloves was formed in 1985 to manufacture and distribute special purpose gloves through safety and fire equipment distributors for unique applications such as fire-fighting and first responders to more normal operations such as welding and foundry. MCR Safety was created on January 1st, 2004, when three of these industrial safety companies consolidated into one. Our name tells it all! Memphis Glove, Crews Incorporated, River City Protective Wear (MCR). All three companies were leaders in the personal protection equipment (PPE) industry and have enjoyed tremendous success as independent companies and are achieving even greater success with the combined products and talented workforce. The consolidation of MCR Safety unites over thirty plus years of successful PPE knowledge, superior service and consistent quality. The Company sells their products exclusively to safety equipment distributors and ships products through three distribution centers in the U.S. The company's main warehouse is in Memphis, Tennessee, we also operate warehouses on the East and West Coast, which enables us to service the majority of our customers within two days. The dedication of the workers in each of these centers to quick service is another reason for the Company's continued success. In summary, the Company is extremely proud of its progress but also sees a tremendous opportunity for further expansion. Our people, our dedication to service and quality and our desire to improve and grow will continue to enable us to attain new levels of success. |
