2012 Distributor & OSHA Training Schedule

MCR Safety provides an additional service with the introduction of OSHA safety training, conducted by Doug Little, an OSHA Authorized Trainer. The 10-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide a broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards at most general industry sites. The training addresses a variety of safety and health hazards a worker may encounter. Classes emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

Topics covered include Introduction to OSHA as well as:
*OSH Act, General Duty Clause, Employer and Employee Rights and Responsibilities, Whistleblower Rights, Recordkeeping basics
*Inspections, Citations, and Penalties
*Value of Safety and Health
*OSHA Website and available resources
*OSHA 800 number
*Walking and Working Surfaces
*Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection
*Electrical Hazards and Prevention
*Emphasis on Personal Protective Equipment
*Hazard Communication and Hazardous Substances
*Recordkeeping, Hazard Assessments and other relative topics
*And more

Prerequisites: None
Instructional time: Minimum of 10 hours not including breaks
Quiz at end of each topic and final exam.  Those who complete the course will receive a certificate and a billfold card that will serve as proof of completion. Currently, there is no expiration time or renewal period on this card.

ForceFlex Glove is Awarded New Product of the Year

MCR Safety received the 2011 New Product of the Year Award at the 2011 National Safety Council Congress and Expo for its ForceFlex HV200 gloves.  This recognition was presented by Occupational Health & Safety which administers the New Product of the Year Award and honors the outstanding product development achievements of health and safety manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve workplace safety.  MCR Safety’s ForceFlex was awarded the New Product of the Year in the hand protection category.

ForceFlex HV200 was developed with the oil industry to achieve maximum protection from cold environments. ForceFlex HV200 is designed with a water/wind resistant inner breathable bladder and 3M Thinsulate lining.  The extended fleece snow guard cuff provides warmth in cold environments along with an internal heat pocket that will accommodate a HotHands® hand warmer which provides up to 10 hours of added warmth.  Rated to temperatures as low as - 20º F. Kevlar reinforced palm pads with rough texture to improve abrasion and grip in oily or wet conditions.  Clarino® synthetic leather palm base material with breathable / expandable fourchettes and mesh fabric back combine for personal fit and comfort.

Additional EVA foam padding in Kevlar reinforced palm pads aid impact resistance.  Extra tacky fingertips enhance grip and provide longer wear.  Injection molded TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) strategically covers the back of hand and fingers for full dorsal metacarpal protection.  Reflexite® micro-prismatic retro-reflective material is added on palm and knuckle sides of cuff for high visibility both during the day and night.  A neoprene slip-on cuff with dual side flex panels and continuous pull aid ease in donning and doffing.  Available in sizes M-XXXL.  Machine washable, air dry.

Fun Colors for Women’s Hand Protection

MCR Safety introduces fashion, function, and fun colors for accessorizing women’s safety apparel. We are expanding our hand protection assortment to include Powder Pink and Pastel Green string knit offerings.

Bright colorsPowder Pink string knits are available in a snug fitting 13 gauge shell, double dotted PVC, and extra gripping honeycomb pattern. Powder Pink sizes include medium, small, and extra small. Our Pastel Green string knits are manufactured with a heavy duty 7 gauge shell, double dotted PVC, and extra gripping honeycomb pattern. Pastel Green sizes include large, medium, and small. All styles are reversible patterns and are launderable for maximum value.

MCR Safety Is Expanding Manufacturing

MCR Safety is proud to announce that we have recently expanded our manufacturing operations with a new yarn spinning facility located in Puebla, Mexico.

This 120,000 square foot facility currently produces 20,000 pounds of yarn daily. Production includes Kevlar and assorted yarns to support our glove, sleeves, and garment manufacturing. MCR Safety is the only DuPont licensee that manufactures its own Kevlar yarn.

Wounded Warrior Project

MCR Safety is proud to be a sponsor of the “Wounded Warrior Project”. An assortment of new hand protection and protective eyewear offerings will be introduced to show our support and honor US military service members and veterans who protect our security and freedom.

All of these PPE offerings will share a common denominator of having digital camouflage design elements. A percentage of sales from this product line will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. More information will follow as products become available.
